Resolving Workplace Disputes for Teachers

Leslie, a dedicated teacher from Western Australia, found herself in a precarious situation when her school sought to alter her contract without her consent. The proposed changes aimed to decrease her hours and subsequently reduce her pay.

Seeking assistance, Leslie turned to the Teacher's Professional Association of Australia (TPAA). Assigned a supportive case manager, Leslie felt empowered to address the situation with confidence.

Through a series of professional correspondences, Leslie's case manager conveyed her position to the school administration, emphasising the importance of honouring contractual agreements while acknowledging the institution's concerns.

Despite initial resistance, ongoing dialogue and negotiation eventually led the school to abandon their proposed changes to Leslie's contract. This outcome relieved Leslie of financial strain and reaffirmed the significance of advocating for fairness in the education sector.

How is the TPAA so effective in defending members during workplace issues and disputes? Our experienced and professional case managers use our unique RED TM case resolution system.
